Assynt House is a luxury holiday house situated in the beautiful Ross-shire countryside, near to the Black Isle and Inverness in the Scottish Highlands.

We inherited the name 'Assynt House' when we bought it but it isn't located in the county of 'Assynt' on the West Coast but a visit to this part of Scotland would make a lovely day trip from the house.

There is so much to see and do in the immediate area and the house is perfectly located for day trips to Aviemore, Caithness and Sutherland, the West Coast of Scotland and the shores of Loch Ness.

If you are looking for a large country house to rent in a place of natural beauty and culture, Assynt House has seven en-suite bedrooms, three reception rooms and a large kitchen to enjoy and is perfect for family holiday and groups of friends.

The stunning Loch Glass is at the end of our road, walk for miles along its tranquil shores (pictured on the left) or enjoy a short walk in this un spoilt area.

The Black Rock Gorge is a dramatic box canyon just a short walk from Assynt House and is not to miss.

Wildlife in the area is plentiful, guests often spot Pheasant and Deer from the picture windows, enjoying our garden or Buzzards and Red Kites flying above us.

Inverness airport is only 30 minutes drive from the house and serves many major UK airports and has direct flights to London, Belfast, Manchester and Birmingham as well as other European destinations.
