By car you are under 20 miles to the centre of the city of Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Assynt House is very easily accessible by air and rail and a beautiful drive north of Edinburgh or Glasgow through the Cairngorms.
A car would be advisable to enjoy as much of the Highlands as you wish.

Beaches are plentiful as are lush green landscapes, waterfalls, challenging hills and mountains. Fryish Monument looks down at Assynt House and gardens and a few minutes walk up the road you will see the majestic Ben Wyvis and further, the serene Loch Glass or the exceptional Black Rock Gorge, just a short stroll from the house.

Inverness airport is only 26 miles away and approximately a 45-minute drive from the house and serves many major UK airports and has direct flights to London, Belfast, Manchester and Birmingham as well as other destinations.
Inverness airport also flies direct to Amsterdam and then on to a great many international airports.
